The Thunder Quake is a side-quest boss that lurks on the west side of West Bose Highway. This beast attacks the entire party with a powerful electrical attack that has a chance to inflict status effects. Expect to heal all the time, and hit it with as many earth-based attacks as you can.
Unfortunately, the Evade 2 quartz doesn't always drop, so it's up to you if you want to farm it until you get the item.
On Hard and Nightmare: This foe can be challenging on the harder difficulties, especially if you rush it as soon as it is available. Pack your party as close to each other as possible. Place the party member with La Tear in the middle, who needs to cast it every round. The other two should also have a healing spell and earth orbments. They should only use Earth attacks, although it is likely, especially on Nightmare, that you will waste a few rounds with everyone healing themselves since the Thunder Quake will do more damage than La Tear heals.
