This is one of the two optional side quests available while The Liberl Media quest is active. Note that this mission will expire upon speaking with Nial during the Liberl Media quest, so be sure to do this one as soon as you get it!

1. It seems her cat disappeared during an afternoon nap, Lets have a look around outside first.
2. Saw a cat near the clock tower!
3. Saw it again by the general store... but it got away.
4. Saw it again by the clock tower. Seems to have gone in the chapel.
5. The cat's been cornered!
6. We finally caught the cat on the 2nd floor of the chapel.
7. We successfully returned the cat to Ida.

This is definitely one of the easiest quest in the game. Just talk to Ida near the outside tables of the Abend Bar to start your chase, then head near the Clock Tower to get your first glimpse of the lost kitty. From there, head down in front of the Guild, then back to the Clock Tower to chase it into the chapel. From there, just head up to the 2nd level and the mission basically completes itself.

There isn't anything fancy, no special trick needed to catch it, nor even a dialogue choice that changes anything. Talk about easy money and Brace Points! Just don't forget to return to the guild to complete the request before working on the Liberl Media mission it might not get registered finished.
