Clem is one of the orphans found at the Mercia Orphanage under the guardianship of Matron Theresa.

Unlike the other residents of the orphanage, Clem is a troublemaker; he steals, runs away, sneaks into dangerous hideouts and often talks back to his superiors. Although, he isn't mean to others, just often mischievous. Eventually, he does begin to mature, but only after a couple of close encounters.
