The Monastery of the Ascension

The Upper Monastery is a beacon of devotion and history dedicated to Phoonzang, the revered creator. As the headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Ascension, it was a place where faith intertwined with scholarship, ancient ceremonies honoured their divine deity, and seekers of knowledge gathered in reverence.

Visitors of the monastery are expected to pay their respects to the lone statue of Phoonzang. Beyond the statue lies the garden courtyard, which welcomes all to the Temple of the Destinae Dominus, where all can pay their respects to the ancient artifact. Other areas of the Upper Monastery, including sleeping quarters, prayer rooms, the vast library, and offices, were where the Brotherhood's tireless dedication pursued enlightenment and understanding.

The peace is gone from these halls, though. The artifact was stolen, and the Brotherhood abandoned their home and embarked on a mission to stop the Savant from stealing their promised ascension. Now, ruffians and dangerous creatures have found their way inside and up from the Lower Monastery. Even though the place has been looted, powerful artifacts and knowledge remain for those still interested in its history and purpose.
