The Flooded Path from the Mountain to the Lake

The Mt. Gigas Water Caves run beneath the mountain to the Bayjin Shallows. Bioluminescent algae stick to the wet cavern walls, spreading shifting green light over the flooded twisting tunnels. The steady rush of water and drifting algae hide the movements of dangerous creatures below, making each step risky.

The Umpani expected these caves would serve as a secret shortcut from their mountain base, through the lake, and to every corner of Dominus. Many tried to cross the Water Caves during early scouting, but only a few returned, shaken by what they had met. Their air tanks now lie abandoned in the Upper Caves, waiting for the next brave recruit to attempt what they dare not.
