Murder in the Alps:
"The Only Redemption" Walkthrough

The Invitation

The Only Redeption begins with Anna receiving a letter from Officer Cozzi, likely related to the upcoming festival Porto Ceso is hosting. Grab her letter knife located directly in front of the typewriter and use it to open the letter. The senior policeman realizes that Anna is a natural detective and invites her to join the celebrations. It takes place tomorrow, so she needs to get going. Find the card wheel at the top left of the typewriter and move the left dial until it shows the phone number for Shindler Taxi Service, then tap to grab the card. Use the phone on the lower left side of the desk to call the cab so she can catch a train to Porto Ceso.

Herman will find Anna once she gets off the train as Luigi has been pulled away unexpectedly and collect her luggage. Walk to the Café to bump into Lino, who is no longer working on the train. It appears everyone she meets is busy or in a bad mood. Try to enter the Café to learn it is locked up. Maybe she can spend time rummaging through Marco's things outside.

Scissors covered in blood, or possibly pie. Could another murder already be afoot? Luckily, Luigi arrives to clear the air. Give him the scissors to confirm it is nothing of importance. Pass through the Train Station Lobby, turn left at the Station Square and enter the Town Square to the left to enjoy the festivities.

At the Town Square, you will meet Giuseppe's wife, Teodora, and a more pleasant senior officer and partake in the games. The ball game is random each time, so observe the cups carefully. The puppet show is more scripted. Click on each puppet's meal to learn their name and alibi, then move them to the correct order.

Where is Adriano?

Adriano was responsible for bringing the fish for the food but has not returned lately. Pass through town and meet Luigi at the Harbor. Adriano has moved out of the Abandoned house and now lives nearby. Pull the pin and flip the latch to enter the gate behind Luigi to enter the Lakeshore. Follow Luigi into the Bungalow to learn he isn't here as well. Anna decides to snoop around to see if there is a clue to his whereabouts.

Anna only found a ticket to Parma, but does it belong to Regina or Adriano? Regina takes it back as Luigi and Anna get kicked out for snooping around. Return to the Harbor, then try to use the crane to move the boxes of trout only to find the handle is missing. Investigate nearby to find it.

Use the newly found handle on the crane to trigger a new minigame. This time, move the hook on the top to pick up the crates and move them around. You must collect the three boxes marked with fish, so moving the other boxes will be needed.

Return through town to complete the delivery and enjoy the meal. After the meal, take the Cliff Road, then take the right path leading to the Church that we never could access in previous chapters. It looks a tad rough and neglected after it was damaged from a landslide. Now, it is no more than a crumbling Crypt.

Approach the church cellar door with Luigi, flip the latch and open the door. Adriano became trapped inside the Crypt. Grab the rope tied to the planter, then connect it to the small iron eye at the cellar entrance to allow him to climb up. It sounds like someone intentionally trapped him in the Crypt, but who would do such a thing? After a brief lashing, Adriano returns to town to help Herman. Step away from the Crypt to continue investigating who would have done this. Search around the nearby mausoleum for clues.

Could the recently discarded glove indicate who tried to trap Adriano? There is no time to speculate further; Cozzi invited Anna over, and it is getting late.

The Cozzi Affair

Luigi will bring Anna back to the Town Square where Giuseppe lives. Enter the home to be greeted by his wife. The officer tried to give his guests a pleasant evening, but something upset his wife, which ruined the atmosphere. Anna and Luigi can head out after finishing their drinks.

Once out of the house, Luigi will fill Anna in with what is happening at the Cozzi Residence before walking her back to the apartment she usually stays at. In the morning, Anna decides she would like to visit Cloe but needs to find chocolate as a gift. Check through Anna's things to find some.

With chocolate in hand, Anna bounces over to the Café. When arriving, she finds Lino, who has moved to town to be with Cloe Como, even though he is not the father. Sneak upstairs to check on the new mother, only for Marco to walk back in. Pass the chocolate to Marco so he can give it to Cloe later. Exit the building to bump into Luigi, who has a new invitation to the Cozzi House.

Return to the Town Square and enter Giuseppe's home again, but he is not at home and doesn't arrive after waiting some time for him. Leave and go to the Police Station to find no sign of him here. Look around the place for clues of where he may be gone.

Pass the Witness Statement to Luigi, who suspects Cozzi must be searching for a pickpocket in town. Leave the station; Anna and Luigi will search for the missing officer. After searching all day, Cesare will provide a cryptic clue. Pass him his lost glove to find out he had last seen him walking up Cliff Road. Walk up to Lake View to find a beaten and tied-up Giuseppe. They will bring him home so Anna and Luigi can help him. Anna must search the cupboard for a First Aid Kit to help him.

Give the First Aid Kit to Luigi to help Giuseppe, who then recalls what he remembered about the events that led to his condition.

A Brazen Attack

Anna wants to check on the locations Officer Cozzi was in today but needs a flashlight. Recheck the cupboard for one.

Now that they have the flashlight, it's time for Anna and Luigi to hunt down clues. Leave the Cozzi Residence and walk to Lake View. Pass the flashlight to Luigi so Anna can search the area.

The Fishing Line is the only item that may have a link to the attack. Maybe the Church area will lead to something more concrete. Head there next and search the nearby tomb.

Pass the recently used torch to Luigi. The attacker may be in a nearby cave, but it isn't safe to check it at night. Return to Station Square to bump into Teodora. After their conversation, Luigi leaves Anna alone on the dangerous streets to return to the apartment.

Searching for an Attacker

Anna awakens the next day with Luigi pounding at the door. The apartment has an elaborate locking mechanism that needs opening, and Anna is too rushed to solve it quickly. Spin the wheels to slowly feed the chain through each part until the chain can reach the center of the far left wheel to unlock the door.

Luigi is all set to explore the cave, but a strong rope is needed. Leave the apartment, unlatch the gate to the cemetery, and search the shed for one.

Pass the rope to Luigi, then return to the Cliff Road and the Church. They will automatically enter the cave. Navigate the maze by directing the couple up and down the ladders.

The cave leads back to the Lakeshore just outside Adriano's Bungalow. Adriano is at home alone, so a peaceful conversation was possible. Pass the fishing line to him to get his alibi and learn that Regina is out of town. Leave the shack, and Anna will notice the boat Adriano was supposedly using has been sunk. Return to the Harbor to find something to bail out the water while Luigi struggles with the craft.

Bring the bucket back to Lakeshore only to discover that Luigi hasn't accomplished anything while Anna was away. Give him a hand by pulling up the rope three times to bring the boat to shore. Examine the craft, then use the bucket to bail out the water slowly. The only thing sitting at the bottom of the boat is some grease paint, which could be used to darken the face of the attacker. Luigi arrests Adrianno, but Herman stops them to announce the terrible news about Cloe.

Murder at the Café

Anna will rush to the Café to access the upstairs area. The mother is dead of unknown causes, and the baby is gone! Inspect the body to find the strangle marks on her neck. Search the nearby area for a possible murder weapon.

Anna finds a silk tie that formerly belonged to Lino. Pass it to the officer, who immediately rushes to arrest the distraught man instead of investigating further. He still needs to learn to trust the reporter. Go downstairs to watch the arrest, then leave the building. Marco will recount his morning, which has left a gap that someone could have killed her. Return to the Café and look around.

A makeup kit is odd for a man of this era to be holding behind the bar. Luigi arrives and asks Anna to go to the police station to help Officer Cozzi. Cross the trash-filled streets and enter the Police Station where the interrogation was already starting. Things are not adding up. Collect the fingerprint kit from Giuseppe's desk, then bring it to Luigi at the Café. While Luigi gets it ready, Anna will leave more finger marks all over Cloe's things.

A pricy bible seems out of place. The fingerprints may help solve this better. Investigate the opened fingerprint kit to start dusting items. Open the powder, use the brush on the powder, then use the brush to dust the bullets, glass, and comb to reveal the fingerprints. Use the roll of tape for each print to put it on the paper pad. Go to the police station to compare the fingerprints once collected.

With the fingermarks not leading to any helpful clues, they are left to wait for other details to arise.

Rising Tensions

The mystery continues the following day, which is Cloe's funeral. Search through Anna's things to find the Black Headscarf.

Place the headscarf on Anna's reflection after you locate everything, then go next door to the Cemetery. Following the rainy burial, Luigi and Anna meet with the Cozzi's at home. While there, Teodora seemed more smiteful than sombre. Their tense conversation is put on hold after the citizens attack a mob. Who is spreading rumours that it is Giuseppe's child? Regardless, they need new windows. Go to the service room to look for some tools.

Pass the box to Luigi and return to the Cozzi House, where they replace the broken window panes. Luigi needs a rag to clean the windows; look for one in the nearby cabinet.

No rag was found, but Anna did find a Crucifix, which fits being Teodora is very religious. Pass it to Luigi, who provides additional details on Teodora.

A Fresh Start

Anna starts the new day with the intent to speak to Regina again to get more information. As Anna leaves the apartment, Luigi arrives to give his idea about Lino. Together, they return to Lakeshore but are almost squished by a malfunctioning crane. Reattach the three hooks to clear the passage, then proceed to the Bungalow at Lakeshore. Luigi notices that the ticket is still here, so Regina never left! Search the dresser for clues.

The only item of note is a handkerchief. Pass it to Luigi to confirm it is too fancy for Adriano. Luigi notices something odd with the floor of the Bungalow. Help Luigi roll up the rug, open the loose floorboard, and find the parcel of envelopes. Could Regina have been cheating on Adriano with a rich man? Go to the Police Station to speak with the suspect.

Unfortunately, the brief interrogation leads nowhere. Return to the Café and speak with Marco. He isn't thrilled with the continued investigation but allows the couple to search the restaurant area again.

Luigi notes that there is almost no evidence of the victim at all, nor the baby. Except for the pacifier that Anna found. Pass it to him, then go outside of the Café and search there, too.

A Grave Secret

Why would a coffin invoice be in Marco's care, and why so large? Pass it to Luigi, then rush to the Cemetery to check if Anna's fears are correct. The shovel should be in the nearby shed.

Pass the shovel to Luigi so he can dig up the grave. Office Cozzi still doesn't believe Anna's suspicions, even after what they discovered. Check the bodies and take the watch, then move the hands to grab a brooch. Give the Handwatch to Giuseppe for Anna to explain why it couldn not be either suspect. Maybe it is Regina's lover? Pass the envelopes to Cozzi. Anna suspects it might be Cesare, who pointed them in the officer's direction the night he was assaulted. Pass the Greasepaint to the senior officer to seal the suspicions on the new possible suspect, then return to Lakeshore and check the Passage.

The passage has a torch at the entrance, but they don't have any way to light it. Enter the Bungalow and search for something they can use.

Return of Officer Cozzi, examine the passage, then use the matches to light the torch. You must navigate Anna and Giuseppe through a new set of ladders.

The cave complex also leads to the Café! He needs Luigi's help to arrest Marco safely, so Anna must rush to the Police Station to get him. Anna will also gather some files from the Austrian police and search for a photograph while Luigi and Giuseppe arrest Marco.
