The Return to Porto Ceso

Anna is getting ready for the court case, and has decided to visit friends at Porto Ceso again on the way. She has noticed she is sharing the train with another passenger to the same town - a woman mourning her late son. Surely it won't have any impact on her trip.

After a short pause Anna will be notified the train is almost at their destination. Collect her things before the it is time to leave.

After collecting the final item, the train will stop. Leave Anna's Compartment and exit to the Platform. Luigi will welcome Anna back to their quaint village and offer to take her bags. Dump all three on the poor man to overburden him, although it is funny that Anna was carrying all three with no issues. Before speaking about the mystery woman, Drag Luigi along through the Lobby and Square. A young woman named Sonya will appear looking for help finding her puppy, Primo. Proceed forward and turn down the left lane at the flower shop. Enter the appartement to drop off her stuff.

Giuseppe notices there isn't enough alcohol to make the suspect so drunk. Perhaps the ID badge Anna found will shed some light on the situation. If you give it to Cozzi, you will learn it belonged to Flavio's deceased friend. Possibly related, but no significant proof.

Perhaps the shovel will yield fingerprints that can convict or absolve their suspect. The small-town officer has yet to learn of such a new conception, so Anna must collect some supplies to get them herself. Return to the apartment and grab the suitcase in the lower-right corner. Flip the two tabs on each side to open it and grab the large box on top of her belongings. Return to the Abandoned House and place it next to the shovel.

Anna will walk you through the steps to lift the fingerprints of the shovel. You need to collect both sets before it will let you continue. Once Luigi returns, Anna will leave the gathering of the suspects' fingerprints to the officers as she checks the Police Station for files that may be related. Anna will bump into Renaldo on the way there, who will tell the story of his son's demise. He believes it was an accident, but his wife thinks it was murder. Could she cause the Black Rose found on Flavio's body?

Continue to the Station and search the desk for the file.

Jailbreak

Luigi is focusing on catching Adriano, so meander back to the Cemetery to ask Officer Cozzi about the missing page from the file. He will notice that the witness statements have been removed from the file. Both officers will go search for the escapee, but Anna is more interested in the file. Find Rinaldo at the Flower Shop again who will direct Anna to the Train Station to find Irene. She won't be there, so ask Marco, the new Café Owner, who will direct Anna inside.

Irene doesn't talk much and leaves as soon as Anna asks about Adriano. Return to the station to see Primo again. Chase after the dog and follow it into the Tunnel. The Service Room is now open; step inside

Use the hammer on the lock to break into the wooden box. Remove some of his items to get access to the locked diary.

The Diary

To access it, rotate the three sections until the arrows are in sync. When spinning one ring, other rings will spin as well. It is easier to synchronize the outside and inner rings first, then focus on the middle ring with slight tweaks as needed.

Upon opening it, Anna learns that the diary is in code. To decipher it, we need to have each of the four symbols on each line and column. No repetitions are allowed. (Don't ask how this helps her; apparently, it solves everything!)

Assaulted

Anna will notice the appartment has been searched through while she was unconcious. check her belonginging on the right side and open the medicine box to find the chloroform is missing, which was likely used on her the night before.

Leave the appartment and return to the Police Station to inform the officers what happened. Maybe the fingerprints from the day before will help figure out who is behind this.

Murder In the Alps: Unforgiven - Fingerprints

The fingerprints point to Adriano, but he dug the graves for the funerals, which explains why his fingerprints are on it. Anna will also reveal the diary, which Cozzi points out that it couldn't have been Roberto who wrote the last entry as he was already dead. A call rings at the perfect time, announcing that Herman saw someone suspicious near the train tunnel, so everyone rushes to the Station Platform. Herman will stay behind as the officers and Anna charge toward the tunnel.

Adriano and Irene are there; one passed out, and the other tied up. Search Adriano's shirt pockets to find a message. It appears they were lured here by someone else. Search the nearby area for a knife to free Irene.

Anna believes that the murderer created the letters using her typewriter. Go back to the apartment to check. You need to feed some paper, then type something to confirm her suspicion. Luigi will check for fingerprints on her recently used typewriter to see if she is the only one using it. At the same time, Anna and Officer Cozzi will meet with Herman and the Train Station.

It doesn't sound good for Renaldo after speaking with Herman. Show Giuseppe the glove to provide additional proof. Continue to the Service Room to arrest Rinaldo, then return to the Police Station. Hand Luigi the Love Letter and Irene the Diary during the big reveal.

There is only one thing left to clear up: the missing dog. Walk down to the Harbor to find Primo with Adriano and wrap up the chapter.
