"Deadly Snowstorm" Walkthrough

Frozen Greetings

Deadly Snowstorm begins as Anna arrives at the Hotel Reger. Otto, the owner, will greet you and welcome you inside. He will wait for you to venture into the warmth and join him at the Dining Hall, located to the right of the Foyer on Floor 1. Join Otto in the Fireplace Room next to the Dining Hall. After some tea, Anna and Otto will briefly introduce themselves. Otto will request Anna's assistance at the Reception Desk to investigate some odd issues at the Hotel.

Achievement available: Turn on the radio above the fireplace for an easy hidden achievement.

Many areas have unique collectables that reward you with more money to spend in your My Home. These are optional but only available for a short time. I will include hints when each is available, with links to the collectables page to provide more information and guide you to them. They are 100% optional but helpful in furnishing the optional area.

Go back twice. Once you arrive at the reception desk, activate the shimmering area to begin the first investigation.

Give the key you found to Otto. (Drag it from your inventory to his hand.) He will note that it is the missing key, thank you, and then head to bed. Anna wants to explore a bit before heading to bed. Return to the dining room and search for the missing photo album.

This scene was once longer, with Anna braving the storm to find missing apparel and playing solitaire. It has been removed in the newer versions. The investigation below was also made much easier since its original release.

You found the photo album, but someone has stripped it of its photos. Pocket it for now, then leave the Hall. Go to the second floor, turn left and enter Room 5 to end the evening.

The next day, Anna wakes up for breakfast but needs her hat before going. Help her search the dresser for it.

Place the hat on Anna by dragging it from the inventory onto her reflection in the mirror, then back out into the hallway. Continue to the first floor, turn right and join the other guests at the banquet hall.

After meeting the other guests, return to the second floor and knock on the door of Room 10. It is the first room you will find after going up the stairs. With no answer, return downstairs to bump into Otto, then meet him in Reception. Look around for the missing key.

Failing to find keys, Anna, Otto and Walter decide to force the door to room 10. Meet them upstairs to learn they need a knife, return downstairs, then enter the kitchen. Open the pantry door and search for one.

Back out of the kitchen, then go upstairs. Give the knife to Walter, then follow them into Room 10. After finding your first corpse, leave the room and go downstairs.

Go to Reception and examine the mess of wires near the green lamp. Otto will drop by and leave Anna to work on connecting the wires.

With the phone out of order, Otto asks Anna to take a long walk through the heavy snow. Leave the building and go toward the gate.

Achievements available: Ring the bell several times to get "Horrible Service." Once outside, tap five crows to achieve "Nevermore."

To open the gate, lift the lock upward, move it to the left, and slide the latch right. Step through the gate to find a vehicle stuck in the snow. Examine the car and snag the photo from the seat. There is no hope to walk through this snow, so head back to the Inn. Enter and return to reception.

Place the Photo Album and the Photo on the desk near Otto. Rearrange the photo pieces to find the second person of interest.

After the meal with the rest of the guests, leave the Hall and enter Room 2 to find the Doctor is out. Where has he gone on such a snowy night, especially bound by his wheelchair? Snoop his belongings after Otto and Walter leave to search for him.

As you discover the syringe, Otto will yell some awful news. Leave the room and dash upstairs. Turn right and enter Room 7.

Heart Stoppers

One heart attack is understandable, but two in such a short time is suspicious. Check the wardrobe, twist the right-side handle, and lift the latch. Check inside for clues.

The lighter doesn't explain how two people would have a heart attack in such a short time. Leave the room and return to the first floor. Enter Room 2 again to find Dr. Hartmann. He seems a bit heartless for a doctor.

Leave the room and go right into the Hall, then again into the Fireplace Room, where they all agree that the deaths are too suspicious. Backtrack to the main entrance and enter the Kitchen. Search the pantry for the Magnifying Glass.

Return to Room 7 and examine Ulla. Use the Magnifying glass on the red part of her neck to confirm their suspicions.

They need baking soda to check the acid, so return to the kitchen and look under the sink on the left side of the room for a box of baking soda. Then, go back to Room 7 again and pour the powder on the green pool on the floor.

Leave Ulla's Room and enter Room 10. Examine Professor Kinksy's head and open his shirt to find the same markings. They want to snoop through his luggage, but it has an odd lock on it. Anna will try opening it.

After they discuss their suspicions, the three would-be investigators hang up their scarves for the night.

Cryptic Meeting

The following day, return downstairs and join the others in the Hall. Professor Clark will excitedly talk about his findings in India and Tibet, then ask for some alcohol. Search the area left of the table for some.

Dump the entire bottle we just found on the tablet on the table, then use the lighter to ignite it. Place the coin onto the device to begin the puzzle. This puzzle has multiple solutions; slide the pieces around until they match. Use the borders of the pieces as a guide to where they belong.

After breakfast, leave the hall and return upstairs, entering Room 5. The scarf she seeks is lying on her bed. Pick it up to discover a cryptic note that you must find the words in the puzzle to read.

Put the scarf on her reflection, then dash downstairs and outside. Go toward the gate, then leave for the backyard. The Blood is not a good sign. Enter the Cellar Hallway through the door on the left. She cannot see anything without a light. Run back to her room and check her dresser for one.

Return outside and back to the Cellar. Hang the flashlight on the chain at the top of the screen, then hit the light switch it shines on to reveal a bloody scene.

Check the door behind Walter, flip the latch, then continue inside. Check the light switch near the left door, open it, attach the wire, and flip it to illuminate the area. Give Walter the cigarettes in Anna's inventory, then enter the next room to check for clues.

Illuminate Area

After finding the Clock Face, back out of the cellar, across the corpse, then to the front of the Hotel. Enter the hall where the rest of the guests gather for a brief scene, then go to the reception to search for the guest list.

Return to the Hall with the Guest List and slap it into Walter's waiting hand. After the meeting, exit the Inn into the front yard, go right, and turn left to the Backyard again, where Otto is waiting. Search the area for the missing bullet casings.

Clear Snow

Give the newly found casings to Ulli, and they will discuss their suspicions before returning inside.

Trust Issues

Claudia screamed for help! Rush back up to the second floor and enter Room 4. While the men calm her down, you can search Claudia's room for clues.

Place the medicine chest Anna found on the stool next to Mr. Peterson, open it, and place everything in the correct spot.

Once realizing that the possible murder weapon came from Claudia's medicine chest, follow Otto downstairs and to Reception. Use the scale to calculate the weight of the bullet casing.

With more new questions, leave Reception and exit the building. Turn right, then left and search near the wheelchair again.

After finding nothing that helps solve the mystery, enter the Cellar door, step over the corpse and continue to the far end to search for more clues.

Upon finding the clue, someone cuts the power and locks Anna inside the room. Piece together the locking mechanism, then turn the dial on the right side so she can escape.

Rush out of the cellar and into the backyard, where Anna will note the shoeprints. Who just locked her in? Was someone trying to scare her? With the other guests in bed, she decides to rest for the night and pick up the trail tomorrow.

The following day, return downstairs and visit the other guests in the Hall. Mr. Peterson hasn't arrived for breakfast yet, so head to the second floor, turn left, and enter Room 6. Other than the other concerned guests, the room is empty. Back out and return to Room 10. Search the luggage for clues.

Why would the murder weapon be hidden here? Leave the room and return to Room 7. Compare the two photographs for differences.

Tap to zoom onto the dresser and place the Clock Face we found in the basement into it. Leave the hotel and go to the Backyard, where Father Lenz will direct Anna toward the mountain where the latest victim rests.

Return to the Backyard after most guests return inside and check near the wheelchair for clues.

Either the clues Anna found are staged, or multiple people are involved. Is Giovanni part of this, or is he being set up? Return inside and join the other guests in the Hall.

Petty Little Liars

After hearing everyone's alibis, leave the Hotel again with your new buddy and return to the Backyard, where Otto will join your party. Enter the Cellar and go to the far back room to look for anything suspicious.

Is someone leaving random belongings in the basement? Why? Leave the Cellar, enter the hotel and return upstairs. Turn right and enter Room 9.

Finding nothing in Walter's Room, return to the main floor and enter Room 1.

Did anyone tell the truth about where they were last night? Return upstairs, turn the corner to your right and enter Room 8. Check his wardrobe for clues.

Do the record pieces we found match the broken record found outside? Put the broken record and the pieces on the gramophone, then put the pieces together. After all the pieces are in place, glue them together, then turn the crank and the flip switch to finish the puzzle.

After organizing into two search parties, exit the building, return to the backyard, and enter the cellar. How was he here the whole time?

While Otto escorts the suspect inside, go to the far back of the cellar and look around again.

With the Bow Tie in hand, rush out of the cellar and back inside the hotel. Hand the large singer the Bow Tie and watch the accusations fly.

Once the prime suspect is tied up, return upstairs to Room 8 again to look for more clues.

Give Otto the case, open it, and place the weapon inside. Leave the murder weapon with Otto and return to Dr. Hartmann's Room (Room 2) on the main floor. Search the corner for clues.

Why was his shoe hidden away in Dr. Hartmann's Room? Was he not wearing them? Return to the Backyard where Claudia and Walter are standing near the prints, adding even more to mess up the evidence. Place the shoe next to Claudia to begin.

Return inside to check on the prisoner to wrap up the day.

A Heart as Cold as the Weather

Just when Anna thought it was safe to stay in bed, more blood-curdling screams pierced the silence. Rush downstairs and enter the Hall to uncover the gruesome scene.

Leave the guests and enter the kitchen, where Otto will direct Anna to the front desk to get the key. Check the desk near the lamp to find the keys covered in an unknown liquid. Use Walter's gloves from the inventory to lift them from the possible acid, take them from the counter, and then return to the kitchen.

Examine the pantry door, use the key on the lock, then search for the axe.

With the axe in hand, leave the Inn and go to the left. Push the pin left to unlock the gate, then pull the lever to open it. The cabin is ahead. Of course, snow falls from the cabin roof just as you approach.

Return to the backyard to pick up the red shovel on the right side near the mountain gate, then return to the cabin. Use the shovel on the snow, then toss it to either side three times to dig a path to the door. Finally, use the axe on the door to get inside.

Enter, then search the cupboard near the left window for clues.

Illuminate Area Remove Lock

Anna wants to see if she can use the telescope to communicate with others outside of the Hotel, but the ladder needs to be fixed first. Drag the new boards near the cupboard onto the ladder, add a handful of nails from the tin on the table, and then use the hammer to pound them in place. Continue up when it's fixed.

Examine the window, place the telescope on the stand, clean the window with the rag on the shelf, and then examine the telescope. Adjust the slider on the side until the picture is clear, then place the pocket mirror on the book. Open and shut the pocket mirror a few times to get confirmation.

Leave the cabin, return to the Hotel, and visit Otto in the Hall. Anna must check Claudia and Dr. Hartmann's Room one last time to confirm her suspicions. Return upstairs and check Room 4 first. (It will only let you check the other room after.) If you still have to find any missing collectables, search for them first, as they will soon be inaccessible.

Leave Claudia's Room with the postcard, then return to the main floor. Enter Room 2 and search the corner.

With all the evidence Anna requires, stride into the Hall to reveal the killer. You will need 180 energy to wrap things up, so ensure you have it before continuing.

After Anna exposes Giovanni's past, enter the Fireplace Room and toss a log from the stack near the window into the fireplace. Return to the Hall for her to continue her findings. Once she exposes the smuggling operation, give the letter to Father Lenz, then give Claudia the postcard when Anna targets her.

The telephone rings, interrupting her reveal, so dash to Reception and answer it. They will provide more dirt for Claudia's story. Return to the Hall so she can continue listing her discoveries. Give Professor Clark his passport to wrap up the story.

Be sure to activate any collectables you have before you proceed to the entrance when it is time to leave, as they will be cleared when completing the chapter. After you speak with Otto, enter the car to end the chapter.
