Characters
Anna Myers is the main character of Murder in the Alps. She is a young journalist from Zurich, Switzerland.
She mainly focuses on Politics in her career, but her true passion is Crime. She loves solving riddles and digging deep to find the truth buried beneath the bloodshed and debris. Due to this fascination, she sometimes gets a bit over her head. While others often scoff and get help from a mere journalist, investigators often find her helpful due to her keen eyes for hidden clues.
She enjoys the Alps and tries to visit them every winter. Something is calming, yet fascinating, about the world covered in snow.

Otto Reger (Hotel Owner)
Otto owns and operates the Hotel Reger located in the Swiss Alps. He has no staff, so he does everything needed to manage the 10-room inn, including security when required.
Before running the hotel, he was a soldier in World War I. During this time, he learned how to use firearms and met memorable friends. His time as a soldier left deep emotional scars; this drove him to make a few poor choices that Anna needs clear up.
Adam Kinsky (Professor)
Adam was a widely recognized physics professor who was experiencing declining health. To allow his body to recuperate, he took a trip to the Alps with his nurse and secretary, Ulla, to unwind and rejuvenate his mind and body. Tragically, this decision ultimately resulted in his murder.
Claudia Perret (Nurse)
Claudia Kopp was born in France, but after getting married, she took her husband's last name and became known as Claudia Perret. Although she later got divorced, she decided to keep the Perret name. While working as a nurse, she secretly established connections with a notorious group involved in war crimes.
During a mission that would end up being her final scheme, Claudia masqueraded as the nurse of Christian Peterson while embarking on a bloodbath.
Christian Petersen
(Buisnessman)
Mr. Petersen was a wealthy businessman from Munich.
Christian's health took a sudden turn for the worse, and he needed to take some time to recover both his mind and body. His nurse, Claudia, suggested he spend time in the Swiss Alps to enjoy peaceful surroundings and fresh air. Unfortunately, Christian's trip proved fatal due to Claudia's ulterior motives.
Giovanni Rossi
(Opera Singer)
Giovanni, an Italian opera singer, has been unsuccessful in his career. Despite being a skilled performer, he has yet to make a breakthrough. He has even had the opportunity to sing at the renowned La Scala opera house in Italy.
Regrettably, his unpleasant personality has destroyed his career. He frequently conflicts with the affluent individuals who own opera houses, rendering it unfeasible for him to pursue his chosen profession professionally.
Hanz Lenz
(Priest)
Father Lenz, a priest from a neighbouring town in Switzerland, was born into wealth in Zurich. After completing his education, he abandoned his privileged upbringing and pursued a life in the clergy.
Hanz has a long-standing relationship with Otto, the hotel owner, and frequently visits. Despite being a priest, he interacts with individuals viewed as sinful and untrustworthy by the church. His association with shady characters ultimately resulted in their untimely demise.
Max Hartmann
(Doctor)
Dr. Hartmann was a brilliant yet pessimistic doctor who lived and worked in Hamburg, Germany. He was restricted to a wheelchair from an accident before he visited the Hotel Reger in the Alps, where he became an easy target for a serial killer.
Charles Clark
(Professor)
Professor Clark is a knowledgeable university professor of archaeology and a researcher from Scotland. In addition, he has authored numerous books, making him a renowned figure among those interested in archaeology.
Charles is often misunderstood and wrongly perceived as an angry or eccentric scientist since he holds no tolerance for those who underestimate or dismiss his work. In truth, he is a kind and empathetic individual who is deeply passionate about his research. He is currently studying ancient religions and their references to achieving immortality.
Ulla Lund
(Secretary)
Ulla, a secretary from Sweden, had lived in various parts of Europe despite being born and raised in her home country. Although her usual work environment was an office, she became Mr. Kinsky's caretaker when his health declined. Unfortunately, after investigating the murder of her employer, Ulla met the same tragic end.
Walter McCain
(Realtor)
Walter, a realtor from the United States, went to the Alps for a vacation after successfully closing a huge deal. He had a keen interest in archaeology and Asian religions, particularly the research of Professor Clark.
Unfortunately, the young man got caught up in the horrific events at the Hotel Reger, perishing while trying to help catch the killer.
Policeman (Law Officer)
This unnamed officer of the law is the only law that deals with the major crimes in the region around the Hotel Reger and the nearby town of Cima di Vren. Little is known about him, other than he is in over his head when dealing with the murders that suddenly plague his small corner of the world.
Gerhard Wagner
(Bartender)
Gerhard was known as a trustworthy friend to many in the Alps town of Cima di Vren, where he ran the bar. However, he used this reputation to assist with a small smuggling operation that was just a cover for a much darker plot. He was involved with shady characters and aided a group responsible for war and heinous acts. Once his true motives became clear, he unleashed murderous attempts against those who were once his friends.
Jurgen
(Bartender)
After the previous owner of the bar in Cima di Vren was arrested for murder at Hotel Reger, Jurgen took over. He decided to keep the bar's design the same, but the atmosphere has dramatically improved since he began running it. Many patrons come for food and drinks but also enjoy the entertainment provided, such as magic tricks.
Aldo Molinelli (Business Owner)
After his father became ill, Aldo assumed control of Molinelli Industries. With the future of the Molinelli fortune in mind, he began to distance himself from his wife and seek out a new partner to have an heir with. This desire led him to find comfort in his longtime secretary.
Aldo was a skilled football player during his school and college days, but his true passion was for cars due to his father's business. Despite his busy company schedule, he set aside time to create new vehicle models.
Fabio Verno (Molinelli Engineer)
Fabio is an employee at Molinetti Industries, but he has developed a strong dislike for Aldo Molinetti. Fabio believed that Aldo was fake and undeserving of his position.
In the past, Fabio was the owner of Verno Tires, a company that his grandfather built. However, after a questionable deal with Molinetti, Fabio's former ally stole the company. This loss has fueled Fabio's resentment towards Aldo, whom he holds responsible for his misfortunes.
Giuseppe Cozzi (Police Officer)
Giuseppe, the senior police officer at Porto Ceso, asserts his superior knowledge due to his extensive experience and dismisses the aid of less experienced individuals. Despite his initial reluctance to involve Anna in the town's affairs, he eventually regarded her as a friend and colleague after she demonstrated her investigative prowess during a series of unsettling events.
Herman Gurr (Station Master)
Herman was born in Germany but moved to Italy with his family. He is now in charge of the train ticket booth and all other activities at the Porto Ceso Station. Although the Station Master usually stays in the lobby, Mr. Gurr does move around the entire station. As part of his job, he overhears many interesting gossip, which he eagerly shares with anyone who will listen.
Lino Pizzano (Conductor)
Lino had a strong desire to explore the world from a young age. After completing high school, he pursued his dream and travelled extensively across Europe. Now works as a conductor on the train that Anna and the rest take to Italy. He helps passengers with their luggage, answers their questions, and delivers messages to them.
Luigi Affini (Police Officer)
After completing his training at the esteemed Police Academy in Rome, Luigi landed a junior officer position in the charming town of Porto Ceso. While he may not hold as high a ranking as some of his colleagues, Luigi's willingness to accept assistance from others during investigations sets him apart.
Fluent in Italian and English, Luigi can communicate seamlessly with the locals and visiting tourists. The loss of his father to a drunk driving accident has left a deep imprint on Luigi's life, making him committed to maintaining a clear and focused mind, regardless of the hour.
Osvald Bernstein (Financial Director)
For 35 years, Osvald has held the position of financial director at Molinelli Industries. Despite experiencing numerous significant events over the years, his enthusiasm for each new launch remains evident and uncontainable.
Although he appears passionate, he is not selfless. He secretly hides his true identity and schemes to take over the company. It turns out that he is actually a Molinelli.
Paola Tornetta (Secretary)
Paola was born and raised in a charming fishing family outside of Rome. She pursued her higher education in Rome, eventually leading her to become Aldo's secretary. Paola assumed other responsibilities over time, including public relations, which entailed inviting the press and VIPs to special events.
Over time, her feelings for Aldo grew until she was sure she could not exist without Aldo and longed to spend her life with him. Ultimately, when he was murdered, she followed him wherever their eternal destination awaited them.
Homeless Passerby (Porto Ceso Citizen)
This unnamed individual takes pleasure in observing the arrivals and departures of trains at Porto Ceso. However, this individual holds some controversial beliefs.
Cesare Casale (Porto Ceso Citizen)
Cesare is a mechanic who often spends time in the town square of Porto Ceso. Additionally, he helps unload containers from the port to local businesses.
Rinaldo Fiore (Flowershop Owner)
Rinaldo stays occupied at the Porto Ceso flower shop close to the police station, especially after separating from his wife, Irene Hoffman. Additionally, he has a cozy guest room available for rent behind the shop.
Vincent Freeman (Café Owner)
Vincent was known for his exceptional coffee that locals and travellers couldn't resist at the Café in Porto Ceso's train station. However, things turned dark when he became involved in the investigation of Aldo Molonelli's death. Sadly, he lost his life for knowing too much.
Silvia Molinelli (Company President)
Silvia was Aldo's wife, although their final years of marriage involved adultery, mistrust and murder. Since they had no children, Silvia took over the Molinelli empire after her husband's death.
Dhara Biguá (Smuggler)
Dhara is a professional smuggler that isn't afraid of getting her hands dirty. The first time Anna met her, she was involved with digging up corpses and using their graves to hide drugs.
Sonia Righi (Porto Ceso Citizen)
Sonia owns a small dog named Primo and greatly admires Anna for participating in significant cases in Porto Ceso. Unfortunately, the dog escapes from Sonia's care and becomes involved in a murder.
Adriano Ponza (Town Drunk)
Adriano is one of the Porto Ceso drunks often found sleeping in the Abandoned House within the Cemetery. He spent most of his time with his friend Flavio Riva.
Marco Vizzini (Café Owner)
The Café in Porto Ceso is now under Marco's ownership, as the previous owner got caught up in a deadly web. Despite being new in town, Marco knows all about Anna's actions.
Irene Hoffman (Porto Ceso Citizen)
Irene was married to Rinaldo shortly after their son's death. While Rinaldo believed it was an accident, she never stopped believing that Flavio killed Roberto, despite little evidence proving it.
Roberto Fiore (Police Assistant)
Roberto, a young police assistant, fought in the war along with Flavio. After returning to Porto Ceso, he began helping the police station with menial duties. Unfortunately, he died in what many call an accident, but some believe he was murdered.
Flavio Riva (Town Drunk)
Flavio was once a war hero and best friend of Roberto. Unfortunately, his memories of war drove him to drink, which quickly became his only focus. He completely disregarded his friends and family to spend his time homeless, yet constantly drunk.
Matt Schwenke (Journalist)
Matt is a co-worker of Anna at the newspaper Eure Tages in Zürich. He spends most of his time chasing stories as a journalist but is also part of a band in his free time.
Teodora Cozzi (Porto Ceso Citizen)
Teodora, the wife of Giuseppe, is steadfast in her belief that the town has strayed from its virtuous path and has become mired in sin. Her observance of the festival reinforces this belief, as she believes the time will soon come when they pay for straying from god. She is also the head of the local Christian group.
Regina Valenti (Porto Ceso Citizen)
Regina, Adriano's girlfriend, is a hot-tempered woman. She lives with Adriano at the Bungalow at the shore, which draws the ire of the townsfolk since they aren't married.
