Crimson Tear

What's Coming Soon

By: Tyler Olson

Well, I think it's pretty obvious that July didn't go as smoothly as expected, and I didn't even expect much. I only got two reviews done last month, which is much further behind than I wanted to be. Currently, I'm only half way through watching the first season of Log Horizon, so it's going to be at least a week before the next review, too.

I did get the Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky guide soft-launched at least, although there isn't much information available at this point. The hard part was to get the design and everything set up to make it easy to update, so I'm hoping updates will happen frequently enough that the guide will be flowing smoothly in the next couple months. (No guarantees, though.)

Server problems also forced a sudden server change. The site was only down for a couple hours, but I couldn't update anything for days and switching servers isn't as easy as it sounds, which took even more of my free time. At least, thanks to this new server, the response and load times should be much better. I did my best at transferring everything over, so missing pages should be minimal. If you do notice something missing, contact us and we'll see what happened.

So, with the past out of the way, what can everyone expect in August? Since I'm still quite busy outside of work, I'm expecting reviews to be on the infrequent side throughout the month. I hope it won't be as bad as the last month, but there definitely isn't going to be a review a week, yet. I was planning on jumping directly into season 2 of Log Horizon after the first season, but I think I'll take a break between seasons to cover a few others. Sailor Moon Crystal has just finished its first full season, so I'm going to cover that series in full next. After that, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend will follow, with the anime movie Spirited Away shortly afterwards. I'll probably watch the second season of Log Horizon after those three.

Since my free time is broken up really odd right now, I'm going to try to watch an episode or two of anime a day. Any additional free time will be spent working the Trails in the Sky guide. I'm not expecting to have much free time until mid-September, thus most of my plans will likely extend into that month. Also, since having these status updates in the middle of the month didn't make much sense, I will do my best at keeping everyone updated at the beginning of the month instead. (I was a bit late this month, but this was the first time I could actually spend the time writing this month.)

Lastly, I have decided to retire I haven't updated it in years, and I doubt I will again. Once the domain goes dark, you can still access the content through I was only getting a dozen or so visits a month there so there wasn't any reason to justify the extra domain.

Here's hoping that things go smoother than they did in July. I really don't want my next update to be September's status update.
