The CW Renews Arrow, Reign, Supernatural, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries!

Most of the CW's hit series have just hit the half-way mark of their current seasons but that isn't stopping them from renewing five of their biggest hits. Arrow has been renewed for a third season, Reign for a second season, Supernatural will be gearing up for an epic tenth season (ten years already?), The Originals goes for season 2, and the Vampire Diaries will be turning 5! Awesome choices, no?
"This season we've had great success with our new hit series The Originals paired with Supernatural, giving us our best Tuesday nights in years," said CW president Mark Pedowitz in a statement. "The Vampire Diaries is No. 2 in its time period in the young adult demos, and with Arrow continuing to gain among young men, and Reign growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and let our fans know they'll have more great drama to look forward to next season."
That still leaves Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, The Carrie Diaries, and the Tomorrow People up in the air, but there is still another nine or ten episodes for those to show their worth, too. The Tomorrow People has been averaging the most viewers of these four, so its renewal is very likely, but Beauty and the Beast and the Carrie Diaries have been struggling this year. Plus, The Flash, Arrow's spin-off, is likely to steal a spot next year, as might Supernatural's spin-off, leaving those two facing some even harder renewal competition.
The CW's newest pair, Star Crossed and The 100, hasn't even begun to air yet, so we won't have any clue of their renewal chances until later this year.
