Lost Girl: The Kenzi Scale Review

Rays of Hope for the Happy Sunshine Gang

After the events of the past two episodes, it was obvious that friendships were going to be tested this week, but things progressed much differently than I expected.

I can't believe on how long Anari had everyone fooled for. With all the raised eyebrows last week, I would have expected more of her "friends" would have noticed something was wrong. It wasn't just around Kenzi, but Bo too. This gang has been together for years now, but no one could figure out that something wasn't normal? Sure they feel bad now that they know the truth, but I doubt that things are going to be the same for a while, especially with Lauren.

While everyone, but Hale, who is still too busy to be bothered with his friends, all played a role, it was Tamsin who stole the show. What an amazing reversal! I knew that the cold-hearted bitch would warm up to Bo, but she's gone way beyond what I had hoped. Her Valkyrie powers were also more than I expected; the effects of her transformation were also really good. They haven't explained why she tastes so good yet, but with her unofficial induction into what the Morrigan calls the "Happy Sunshine Gang" I am sure they will eventually explain it.

Who doesn't love a good lick between friends?

After it being mentioned since the chainsaw attack, I was expecting a bit more out of the goo that was spilt on Kenzi. Sure, she was captured and left to starve, but I was hoping for a drastic transformation, or a massive new enemy that would plague them for weeks. I probably would have been okay with it if she actually was able to move the rock with her "May the force be with me" line. Perhaps that's just me missing the kick-ass shillelagh wielding super Kenzi.

I'm also a little disappointed in the reveal of Bo's afflictions though. I was hoping for it to be her father's secret powers making an appearance, not an 200 year early puberty. Let's just hope that through this advancement into Fae Adulthood we will finally learn more about what she is and what other powers she holds at least.

Now we have to wait two weeks to find out what is next for our changing Bo due to another little award show airing next week. Why can't these awards happen on other nights instead of interrupting our Fae night?
