Lost Girl: ArachnoFaebia Review:
"It's just a big bad ass bug."

On top of the new Fae of the week, this episode continued the much needed character building that was missing at the beginning. Any viewers with a fear of spiders, likely found this episode a bit too much to handle, and if you didn't fear them before, you probably do now.

Just like last episode, it was 'little sister' Kenzi that ended up getting them in trouble again. I really enjoyed her outfit, but I find it hard to believe that anyone would have taken her blessing seriously. Amazingly it did work, in a way. The cause of the deaths did leave the house, only not the way they would have liked. Talk about taking your work home with you.

This weeks Fae was a Djieiene, which is a spider like Fae that has really strong webbing, and is really hard to kill. In fact, there is only one way to kill it. Unlike normal spiders, it doesn't rely on catching it's prey in a web, and instead this ugly creature injects it's target with a controlling venom that causes hallucinations, paranoia, and violent tendencies.

Seeing Bo and Kenzi plotting to kill each other, and the things they were hallucinating, were really entertaining. The way the Fae was controlling Bo, I am a bit surprised that she was able to hold back her hunger enough to spare Hale. It may have been that the feeding cured her, allowing her to stop in time, or that he is able to endure more due to him being Fae. He was a bit too lively after his short rest, so it is likely the latter.

Some of Lauren's decisions didn't make a lot of sense this episode, especially the one that almost caused Bo, Kenzi and Hale to get burned alive. I am not sure if her loyalties to The Ash are that strong, or she was looking to create an opportunity to be a hero again. It could just been that Dyson was still a bit upset that Bo is with her and not him, since they were almost fighting over Bo a few times, but he might be right about her. I am sure that while Bo and Lauren's relationship continues, we will find out the truth.

I find it a bit annoying how almost every episode so far did has someone saving the day just in time. Sure it adds to the suspense, but they need to start changing it up a bit. Also, Kenzi has gotten in trouble far too often, we need her to be the hero for once. It would be nice if future episodes take care of these patterns.
