This section contains up-to-date information, including updates from the latest episodes, and the Continuum: The War Files comic series.

Born in 2049, Kiera grew up in a peaceful time when the world was rebuilding after the abundant clean energy from the creation of fission energy generators. Citizen's rights were slowly being restored, the gap between rich and poor was receding, until the 2060s when civil unrest broke out. Kiera's family was lucky due to their families connections with the corporate government, so her family didn't suffer as much as the lower classes.

That changed when Kiera was drafted to fight against Liber8. At the beginning, she was treated poorly by the other soldiers, but she followed orders, killing the enemy when ever possible and making it back in one piece, with her friend Elena. Eventually she made a name for herself and became respected amongst the others. As the war progressed, casualties racked up on both sides, including another friend, Private O'Reilly. She soon began to see the war differently, especially when one of her orders took the lives a child, then reports came in about schools being hit, taking even more young and innocent lives. Soon, she found herself fighting friends who changed allegiances and joined the Liber8 cause.

In 2069, after she found out that she was pregnant, she left the military, settled down, gave birth to a boy who they named Sam, and got married to her boyfriend Greg. But after a few years, the hostilities continued, so she decided to study at the local justice academy where she was taught compassionate justice, then joined the local Protective Services (CPS). As an entry level street officer, she was given the ability to make judgements for herself, and apply her own conscience to her law enforcement.

Although, as the civil war continued, she began to encounter Liber8 forces again, and was tested in ways similar to her time in the military. She encountered several more situations that made her question her role in the conflict, but she continued on her track in order to keep her family safe and give her son a future of peace.

In November 5th, 2076, the battle against Liber8 shifted into the corporation's grasp when Kiera led a team that captured to Edouard Kagame, and his generals shortly after. Six months later, Kiera was appointed as security during the public executions, but something happened that she couldn't expect; Liber8 had help from the inside. She didn't know what was happening, but she rushed to try to stop them and got caught in the time vortex, so she got transported with the members of Liber8 to the year 2012.

Soon after finding herself in the past, she gained a new friend in Alec Sadler, the inventor of most the technology she had with her from 2077. Remotely, he assisted her in fitting into her new role with the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), first under the fake identity as Portland detective Linda Williams, then later under with her own name as a secret federal agent from Section 6 when her original cover was exposed. Her first goal was to find a way back home, but also to prevent Liber8 from changing the future she came from. She also made friends at the VPD, including her new partner Carlos Fonnegra, but all of her secrets made it difficult to create anything substantial.

With the use of her advanced CPS technology, she aided in the solving of crimes and the hunting of Liber8. Although, it didn't take long before her enemies fractured, and she gained a new unsteady and shady ally in Matthew Kellog. Since then, she seen more losses, and even more reasons for her to question if she is fighting on the right side. This became increasingly more difficult for her as she was forced to make unlawful choices in order to protect the future she came from, only to witnessing changes that will change it drastically.

After her failure to stop Liber8 from destroying a building, and learning that Alec is the one who sent her and Liber8 to the past, she has left the Vancouver Police and has taken up the life of a vigilante, hunting down Liber8 by any means necessary. She still checks in with her allies at the VPD and assists them with any crime that may be tied with their common enemy.

Bio Upgrades: Her strength and agility have been increased allowing her to fight against opponents who are significantly larger than she is.

CMR (Cellular Memory Review): While it appears mostly as a heads up interface, it provides several more abilities to give her advantages compared to the present day police force. Features include the ability to scan and recognize faces, chemicals, finger prints, weapons, and other objects, precise details of any object including size and weight, detect the elevated stress, heartbeats, and other vital statistics in people, detect heat signatures through solid objects (such as walls), and record and access visual, audio and olfactory records of events she has witnessed. It holds up to 36 hours of video.

CPS Multi-tool: This device is small, so it travels well and does almost anything you could need it to. Key features used so far include opening locks and dispersing a bio-mist that allows fingerprint scanning to be done easier.

CPS Service Weapon: This is not your average firearm. Unlike modern weapons, when inactive, the firearm doesn't look useful, but when deployed it possesses a very accurate holographic targeting display and can both fire lethal rounds or tracking darts.

CPS Suit: Physically, this suit is very durable, has personalize shielding that protects the wearer from bullets and explosions, can make the wearer invisible, and has the ability to change color. But this suit is more than just armour, it is an incredibly powerful computer system which is fully able of detecting its own location, and accessing any computer system in the area with ease. Other suit abilities include accessing and altering radio waves and deploying a high voltage shock through the sleeves.

Security Net: Through her CPS security net, she is able to communicate with Alec Sadler and exchange information quickly to allow him to assist her remotely. In 2077, this technology was used for accessing case files, and communicate with the HQ and other officers via audio and video.
