There are times when The 100 appears to be dark and brooding, a struggle for survival, or a sign that humanity can overcome anything, but this week we are reminded that this is still a CW series starring a bunch of stupid kids.
And like most stupid kids, this week they all got higher than a kite. Did anyone actually try to stop anyone from taking hallucinogens? Ha! You kidding? They actually supported it. Stupid kids and their LSDs. I mean, wouldn't you test out your food a bit more thoroughly before distributing them? Nah, these children have been on the surface for long enough to know what is safe to eat, right?
It is also really funny how excited they are about their new guns, especially since they don't have reliable ammo. What good are guns that don't always fire when their enemies throw spears with deadly accuracy and strength? This is so not going to end well.
Maybe their former captive will be able to help out, who finally has a name, Lincoln. I wouldn't be surprised if all the grounders are named after presidents since they are descendants of Americans. Although, after what Lincoln was put through, they might demand someone to pay for the peace, like Bellamy... Or, maybe Octavia. He obviously has feelings for her. I'm sure Bellamy will be so happy to find that out.
On a side note, it looks like Clarke is over Finn already and falling into the arms of her former rival. Wow, that didn't take long. I almost feel sorry for the poor fella... Oh wait, Raven. Never mind.
Then there is the garbage that is happening on the station. Why not question him before locking him in a place that someone can kill him? Oh, wait, anyone of any intelligence was tossed out of an airlock because they tried to fight the corrupt people in power. My bad.
Let's just say that I'm getting increasingly disappointed in this series. I should have known this was going to happen. Maybe things will start turning around next week. I wouldn't bet on it, though.
Since it is easy to jump to the wrong conclusions early with an episode by episode review in this type of series, I will only be lumping my reviews into a 2 episode format from here on in (a review every 2 weeks).
