The Krone Pass Attacked quest takes place as the bridge between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 as you head into the province of Ruan through the Krone Pass.

Walkthrough
As you progress through the Krone Pass at the beginning of Chapter 2 you will be placed into a forced fight with a couple of large groups of Attack Dobermans. These enemies can be very dangerous for the unprepared but, if you've kept your armor and weapons upgraded this fight shouldn't be too difficult. To make the battle easier, equip enough of the same element of quartz to allow for some area attacks to wipe the enemies out quickly.
After you complete both fights follow the path toward Manoria, then eventually to the City of Ruan where you can report this complete.
