The Aurian Road Monster side-quest is an adventure that takes you south of the City of Ruan, through the Aurian Causeway and to the Sapphirl Tower, to defeat a fierce new enemy. It is made available during the Orphanage Crisis mission and expires after entering the Jenis Royal Academy.

A feroicous monster known as a Helmet Crab has been spotted roving near the Sapphirl Tower.

Bracers from this branch are requested to deal with this threat immediately.

1. Exterminated monster at Sapphirl Tower.

After you are informed of the incident at the Orphanage, you will finally be able to travel south of Ruan. This mission will be available from the Ruan bulletin boards.

Travel south of Ruan down the Aurian Causeway. During the second map, you will find a road that splits west toward the Sapphirl Tower. Your foe isn't in the tower but just outside of it.

The battle consists of 5 Helmet Crabs. These monsters are immune to all physical attacks, and their shield counterattacks all direct attacks. They also summon Mint Poms, which drain EP and use a devastating new Art attack that can damage all nearby party members. Use your best area-effect Arts to destroy these foes as swiftly, and use physical attacks against the Mint Poms when they are about to use Arts.

Once defeated, you will also be given the item for the parallel quest Find the Prototype! Return to the Ruan Bracer Guild for your reward.
