Once Upon A Time: 7:15 AM Review 2012-01-24 By Tyler Olson |

Finally, after a long pause, Snow White and Prince Charming's story continues and their alter egos rekindle their love after meeting each other at 7:15 AM every morning at Granny's. Surprisingly, we finally got to see Red Riding Hood, before her life as a waitress, and are introduced to the 8 Dwarfs. As normal, the fairy tale past comes first. A lot happens this episode, so I'm just going to quickly run down the important points. Red Riding Hood has been giving Snow White status updates while she is in exile causing Snow to a potion to forget Charming from Rumpelstiltskin, who gets thrown in jail when trying to see Charming, but rescued by the dwarfs Grumpy and Stealthy, Stealthy died, and Snow is forced back in exile again with the seven remaining dwarfs. Also, Charming still called off the wedding to search for Snow who now doesn't remember him, but who cares about that, right?
Red's appearance was quite surprising, and still does wonders for the fairy tale world's story. Has she had her adventure with the wolf at this point in her life, or is that still to come? It also seems that King George is even a bigger dick than I thought when he forced the marriage in the first place. Threatening to kill the prince if she didn't break if off with him shows that he isn't any better than the queen. I am impressed with the way Snow held back her tears while being forced to tell the prince that she doesn't love him, and shows how strong her character is. Since he still broke off the marriage anyway, is the prince still going to have assassins sent after him by his fake father? That would definitely make his search for her even more interesting.
I still have no idea where they are going with the new visitor. Since he is a writer, did he create the book that Henry has about them, or is his typewriter going to be connected to Emma fixing the town? The possibilities are endless since we know so little about him. This episode was a great continuation to the tale that has been spun so far about Snow and Charming, but it is still far from the conclusion. I feel that the strand of Snow's hair, that Rumps still has, might come back to make the mayor happy again. Comments

Stealthy died! That is what is important. When they first introduced him, I thought that having an eighth dwarf was going to change so much, and possibly add a fresh twist on the tales, but alas it wasn't meant to be. The brief introductions of the other seven, really seem to match the style that disney introduced. Part of me is glad they took the classic american story, but I still feel that there were so many other avenues that they could have explored, and still made it great.
In Storybrooke, we learnt that Mary Margaret and David have been meeting each other briefly at 7:15 AM every morning and that they still have feelings for each other. Seeing them work together to reunite the dove with it's flock was a great way to show how close these two still are, and provided a neat way to rekindle their love. Also, her willingness to dive into danger for a dove really matches her character. I am sure that Kathryn will have wished that she lied to David about the pregnancy test after she finds out what the mayor saw at the end. She seemed even grumpier than Grumpy was while in jail.
