Camelot Cancelled
Production challenges causes the show to be scrapped.

June 30, 2011

Starz announced today not to renew their medieval fantasy show Camelot "due to significant production challenges". These challenges include scheduling conflicts with the actors as well has it's high production costs due to shooting in Ireland.

Even though the show premiered strong with the highest rated premiere for Starz's original dramas, but it's ratings fell during most the season. It did begin to recover towards the end, unfortunately it was too little to late. Starz even released a Facebook game for the series to provide additional revenue for the series just a month and a half ago.

The series was ambitious, but failed to compete with the other shows in it's genre to win over the hearts of viewer. The season 1 finale showed promise, but I guess we will never know how the conflict with Morgan continued. Rest in Peace Camelot. At least we still have Merlin, which continues with season 4 this fall,
